Can I see my doctor? In most cases, Yes! This healthcare solution utilizes the extensive PHCS Network and if your doctor is not already part of the network they can sign a form to work and receive payment directly from Redirect Health. When you need medical care, Redirect Health provides virtual care 24/7/365, and if the care you need cannot be resolved virtually, the concierge team will help you get the care you need in your local area. Don’t worry! If you have a preferred provider who can provide the care you need, that is perfectly acceptable. The concierge team will be happy to work with any provider that will provide quality medical services for a reasonable price!

Conditions beginning after a Member's effective date will be shared after the $2,000 per condition initial member responsibility and/or the annual $4,000 family initial family responsibility have been met, then a 20% copay up to an annual out of pocket maximum of $4,000 for an individual or $6,000 for a family. -
What if I have had cancer?Like other conditions, if you have not had treatment or related symptoms in the 12 months prior to your initial effective date, then your prior cancer is not considered a pre-existing condition. Many cancer survivors go to follow-up appointments regularly to check their health and confirm the cancer has not returned. As long as appointments of this nature are follow-up only (not treatment of the cancer), then the cancer, should it return, would not be restricted from community sharing as a pre-existing condition.
-
How old can my child be on the plan?Children can remain on the healthcare plan until their 26th birthday. Pricing is the same whether you have 1 child or several children.
-
How is cost sharing different from insurance? When you pay your monthly fees for a cost sharing membership, the money is not a premium for an insurance product. Instead, the monthly fee goes to a pool set aside for the medical needs of the members. Redirect Health, in addition to providing primary care and medical concierge services, acts as the steward of that pool of money. Redirect Health would approve and facilitate the payment of medical expenses to providers for the care of members.
-
Does the plan provide for annual doctor’s visits?Annual doctor’s visits are considered primary care and are included in your plan.
-

-
Is the plan ACA compliant? This plan is not considered health insurance and therefore does not meet the ACA requirements for insurance. However, there is no longer a federal penalty for not purchasing health insurance. Some states, such as Massachusetts, California, New Jersey, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Washington D.C. currently impose a penalty for not purchasing an ACA compliant insurance plan. In many cases, the cost of the penalty is a fraction of the savings people experience by using this solution. Please seek advice from a tax specialist to understand the most up-to-date regulations in your state.
-

What if I don’t call Redirect Health first? In all non-emergency situations, please be sure to contact Redirect Health first! The trained administrators and medical professionals can coordinate the care you need very quickly. In an emergency, please connect with Redirect Health as quickly as possible so they can coordinate the care, medical records, and payment with your provider. One of the most effective ways Redirect Health keeps monthly costs for members so low is by making sure the cost for your care is reasonable. In the medical industry, transparency and consistency have become a significant problem, so the experienced administrators at Redirect Health are careful to make sure the expenses for medical procedures are reasonable. In order for them to control this for the benefit of all members, they must be a part of the process as soon as possible. This may seem to add an extra step to the process, but it will facilitate appropriate transfer of medical records and payment to your doctor, which saves you time and effort on the back-end. Since February, 2020, COVID-19 has significantly disrupted healthcare all over the country, so it is likely your doctor's office will be slower to respond or less organized than normal. They will not want you going in-person if you have COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms. We may ask you to help us schedule your own appointment when it makes sense. We will take extra measures to help your doctor prioritize your needs appropriately. The goal is for you and your doctor to have certainty about how soon you need your appointment, and what is needed. Please keep in mind that Redirect Health may deny the payment of non-emergency medical bills if you fail to coordinate with them first and have them schedule your care. This is a community of like-minded people, so it is vital that you do your part, so the system works the way it is supposed to!
-
Will Redirect Health pay the provider, or do I have to get reimbursed?"Redirect Health will coordinate with the provider and pay them directly. In some circumstances when a member pays a medical expense directly that would normally be shared by the community, the member will be eligible for reimbursement. We urge members to avoid this whenever possible. This is almost never in the best interest of the member or the community as it diminishes the ability of Redirect Health’s administrators to negotiate a fair price with the provider.

When will I be billed? The card you provide when you enroll will be billed immediately upon enrolling to pay for your first month’s membership. You will be billed again on the same card around the 15th of each month for membership the following month. For example, if you enroll on June 10th, your card will be charged immediately for your membership, which will begin July 1st. You will then be billed around July 15th for your August membership. There is no need to renew your membership in any given month (not even at the end of the year.) Your membership automatically renews each month unless you cancel.
